Our thanks to all the competitors, coaches, alumni, vendors, volunteers, and families & friends that made the TRR a success. The rain held off - and given the rash of cancelled regattas this weekend elsewhere in the region, we were thrilled to have overcast skies, good temperatures and very decent water level in the river.

We look forward to seeing you again next year - mark your calendar for TRR 2012 on Sunday September 30th, 2012. Until that day, we will again be looking at further ways to improve the event - so please do send your feedback to info@textileriverregatta.org

28 Sep	Event Schedule version 3 has been posted. This is FINAL. TRR names the Lowell Humane Society as this year's TRR Charity. Join us in supporting this valiant effort.

17 Sep	Everyone's favorite topic: Waivers! DO THEM ONLINE AT REGATTA CENTRAL. The TRR is making great strides in being a green regatta and we appreciate your help. Coaches: One small piece of paper tells us that you have complied with the waiver requirements - download and sign this form and bring it to check-in at the regatta. Registration closes on 24-Sep. We may not allow late registrations due to the high pace of entries at this point. But don't take the chance of incurring our harsh late-registration fees - register now! Version 2 of the Event Schedule will be posted tomorrow - there WILL be slight event shifts, so take note.

The Textile River Regatta is an extremely popular 6k head race held on the Merrimack River in the fall. The event is organized by the Merrimack River Rowing Association (MRRA) in coordination with the UMass-Lowell and Lowell High School Rowing programs.

A full range of sculling and sweeps events are included, with competition provided by large entries from many local and regional clubs and colleges. The event occurs a few weeks prior to the Head of the Charles and hence provides athletes with ideal competitive training on a great course with a convenient location.
